
Grant Guidelines
The Nanaimo Community Foundation has supported many fine organizations and worthwhile projects in our region. Founded in 1982 by the Nanaimo Branch of The Associated Canadian Travelers, the Foundation has granted more than one million dollars to help make our community a better place for all to live. Individual grants can be as much as $25,000.00.

Restrictions:
- The Foundation is currently able to assist with capital projects only.
- Operating funds or special project funds are not provided.
- Grants are limited to B.C. non-profit societies which are also federally registered charities.
- Grant applications are accepted from federally registered non-profit societies resident in the Nanaimo area. The Nanaimo area is defined as North of Nanaimo to and including Nanoose and south of Nanaimo to and including Ladysmith.
There is one grant application deadline: June 30th annually.
Please ensure you have your application in by this date.
Grant decisions are finalized in December and funds distributed in January.
